AI Backend Engineer

About the job

Python-focused AI Backend Engineer with strong experience building production-grade FastAPI services and AI agent workflows Must Have : Backend Engineering • 2–3+ years of Python experience building production-grade services • Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI , including : • Async execution patterns • API design & error handling • Working knowledge of Git and CI / CD , especially within Azure DevOps Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) • Hands-on experience building end-to-end RAG systems • Experience with : • Document ingestion & parsing • Chunking strategies • Embedding generation & indexing AI Agents & Frameworks • Expertise in at least one AI framework such as : • LangChain • Microsoft Agent Framework • Semantic Kernel • Google ADK Data & Storage • Strong SQL skills, preferably Microsoft SQL Server • Query writing, validation, optimization • Data ingestion • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB Ways of Working • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Comfortable working in agile, globally distributed teams
