ABOUT ORIGINBLUY OriginBluy is building AI systems to accelerate the discovery of critical and rare earth minerals — the resources powering the global clean energy transition. We combine Artificial Intelligence with Human Intelligence (AI + HI), integrating advanced machine learning with geological expertise to create next-generation exploration intelligence platforms. Our goal is to help mining and exploration organizations discover mineral resources faster, more accurately, and more cost-efficiently. We are an early-stage, high-ownership team working directly on real exploration challenges — from prospectivity modelling and remote sensing analysis to drill targeting and geological data integration. ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a technically strong AI Engineer with interest or experience in geospatial and mineral exploration data to help design and build intelligent systems that fuse multi-source earth datasets into actionable exploration insights. You will work at the intersection of: • Geoscience • Machine learning • Remote sensing • Spatial analytics • Exploration decision support This is a foundational role where your work will directly shape our technology architecture and early product capabilities. WHAT YOU WILL BUILD In the first phase, you will contribute to: • Satellite imagery processing and mineral signature detection workflows • Drill hole and geochemical data modelling pipelines • Spatial prospectivity and target generation models • Multi-modal AI systems integrating imagery, tabular, and textual datasets • Data infrastructure for exploration intelligence platforms Your work will directly support real mineral exploration use cases. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Remote Sensing & Geospatial Analysis • Process multispectral and hyperspectral imagery (Sentinel-2, Landsat, ASTER, etc.) • Develop workflows for lithological mapping and alteration detection • Perform feature extraction, spectral indices, and terrain analysis • Integrate raster and vector geospatial datasets Exploration & Drilling Data Modelling • Clean and model drill hole datasets (assays, lithology logs, coordinates) • Develop ML models for mineralization prediction and anomaly detection • Identify spatial patterns in geochemical and geological datasets • Support 2D/3D subsurface interpretation workflows Prospectivity Modelling & Target Generation • Build predictive models using statistical and ML approaches • Perform geospatial feature engineering • Generate ranked exploration targets with confidence metrics • Collaborate with geologists to interpret results AI Architecture & Data Systems • Build scalable data pipelines for heterogeneous exploration data • Design multi-modal ML workflows combining imagery, tabular, and text data • Support integration of geological databases and public datasets • Explore LLM-assisted workflows for geological reports and knowledge extraction WHO YOU ARE We welcome candidates from either of the following backgrounds: Profile A — AI / Geospatial Engineer • Strong ML or data science experience with geospatial or remote sensing exposure Profile B — Geoscientist / Mining Professional • Background in geology, mining, or geophysics with programming and ML skills Curiosity about mineral exploration is essential. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 2–5 years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or geospatial analytics • Strong Python programming skills • Experience working with spatial or scientific datasets • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) • Understanding of data preprocessing, modelling, and evaluation workflows • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with domain experts. TECHNICAL SKILLS Spatial & Geospatial: • GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL, Shapely, PyProj • QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar tools Remote Sensing: • Google Earth Engine or satellite imagery processing libraries • Spectral analysis or image processing experience Machine Learning: • Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM • PyTorch / TensorFlow (preferred) Data Handling: • Pandas, NumPy • Scientific data formats (GeoTIFF, shapefiles, CSV, LAS, etc.) Cloud or scalable processing experience is a plus.
