About the job
We are seeking a passionate AI Engineer to lead the development of our core AI analysis engine. You will architect and implement machine learning models that analyze 3D CAD geometry in real-time, predict manufacturing issues, and provide actionable recommendations to improve design manufacturability. Key Responsibilities: • AI/ML Development: - Design and implement ML models for geometric analysis of injection-molded plastic parts. - Develop computer vision algorithms for automated feature detection in 3D CAD models. - Build predictive models for manufacturing cost estimation, cycle time prediction, and defect analysis. - Create real-time inference engines optimized for browser-based deployment (TensorFlow.js/ONNX.js). - Design data pipelines for continuous model training and improvement. • Platform Architecture: - Architect browser-based AI systems capable of efficiently processing large 3D models. - Integrate STEP/STL file processing with AI analysis workflows. - Develop WebAssembly modules for high-performance geometry computation. - Build scalable model-serving infrastructure for real-time analysis. - Implement feedback loops to continuously improve model accuracy. • Manufacturing Analysis: - Develop DFM analysis algorithms for wall thickness, draft angles, undercuts, and gate placement. - Build AI-accelerated moldflow simulation capabilities. - Create cost optimization engines recommending design changes for manufacturability. - Implement quality prediction models for common injection molding defects. - Design automated report generation delivering actionable manufacturing insights. • Research & Innovation: - Stay current with AI/ML advances in manufacturing and CAD analysis. - Experiment with techniques such as neural radiance fields and graph neural networks for 3D data. - Collaborate with manufacturing experts to validate AI recommendations. - Publish research and represent the company at industry conferences.
