Role: AI/ML Lead (Cybersecurity) Function: IRM COE Location: RCP, Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai Role Overview: Purpose and Impact This role is responsible for strengthening the organization’s cyber defense by enabling security teams with practical, AI-driven capabilities. As the Lead – AI/ML (Cybersecurity), you will define and deliver AI/ML solutions that enhance threat detection, triage, and response. You will lead the design and deployment of GenAI, agentic AI, and advanced ML models to improve signal quality, automate high-volume activities, and generate actionable security insights—enabling faster, more consistent decision-making across security operations. This role focuses on operationalizing AI to enable increasingly automated and resilient security capabilities. Focus Area Impact & Results • Purpose of the Role • To design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions that drastically improve security efficiency and decision-making. Impact: Hyper-Automation • Identifying and replacing repetitive, low-value manual tasks with intelligent automation and Agentic patterns. Result: Enhanced Insights • Using GenAI and NLP to transform raw logs and alerts into clear, actionable investigation summaries for senior leadership. Result: Explainable Defense • Ensuring all AI solutions are built on principles of trust and responsibility, aligning with strict privacy and risk governance. Result: Scalable Innovation • Integrating custom-built AI models into existing SIEM, SOAR, and VM platforms via robust APIs and microservices. Tools and Technical Approach You will use a modern AI/ML and engineering stack to address complex, high-priority cybersecurity challenges. Domain Tools, Techniques & Frameworks to Master • Generative AI & NLP • LLMs and NLP for summarization and analysis, including mitigation of hallucinations and validation in security use cases. • Advanced AI Patterns • Agentic AI patterns, orchestration frameworks, and MCP-style integrations where applicable. Cyber Defense Ops • Deep understanding of SOC workflows, Vulnerability Management, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks. AI-Assisted Dev • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate research, prototyping, and delivery. Key Responsibilities • AI Strategy and Roadmap - Lead the end-to-end design and deployment of GenAI and ML solutions for prioritized security use cases. • Define the AI/ML roadmap to align with broader enterprise security and technology goals. • Translate operational requirements into scalable, automated solutions. Technical Leadership & Model Management • Oversee the entire model lifecycle—from validation and monitoring to performance optimization. • Provide technical mentorship to engineers and data scientists working on AI-enabled initiatives. • Drive responsible AI practices to ensure solutions are secure, explainable, and compliant with applicable privacy and governance requirements. Cross-Functional Integration • Partner with SOC and Risk teams to identify high-effort, repetitive activities suitable for AI enablement. • Support the seamless integration of AI capabilities into enterprise security platforms through APIs. • Communicate AI outcomes and limitations clearly to senior stakeholders in a business-relevant way. Required Qualifications • Experience: 8–12 years of total experience, with a heavy focus on AI/ML, data, or advanced analytics. • Proven track record of delivering production-grade AI solutions in enterprise environments. • Sufficient understanding of the Cybersecurity domain to design relevant, high-impact use cases. Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or Cybersecurity. Preferred Attributes: • A Strategic Mindset that can operate in ambiguous problem spaces and guide implementation. • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI and modern orchestration frameworks. • Strong appreciation for the ethical and secure usage of AI in a risk-sensitive environment.
