When you join the Institutional Portfolio Operations (IPO) team as a Analyst, you are joining a group of tightknit, energetic, and social individuals, who together have a direct impact on the investment success of individuals, pension funds, foundations and endowments, First Nations and other institutional clients. The Institutional Portfolio Operations Analyst is a critical part of our firm and clients’ success and is a challenging and rewarding role for the right individual. In this introductory role, you will experience the inter-workings of the asset management world and will have the opportunity to advance your skills for future growth and development within Connor, Clark & Lunn (CC&L). What You Will Do: • Reconcile various items, including but not limited to: cash, transactions, holdings, futures, various derivative products, dividends, soft dollars, units, and alternative investments. • Communicate with custodians, prime brokers, portfolio managers, and key personnel across CC&L to investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies. • Communicate critical portfolio information and oversee the flow of sensitive information for all CC&L affiliates. • Work with auditors to assist in providing accurate and timely data for audits of our institutional client accounts. • Communicate with our custodians and prime brokers to set up daily delivery of external files for reconciliation purposes and to resolve data-related issues. • Participate in operational projects focusing on automation, efficiency, and the scalability of IPO’s services.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 3 years of experience in an institutional investment firm
