• *Job Profile:** The **Area Sales Manager (ASM)** will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the distributor and dealer network across **North Bengal**. The role involves expanding the dealer network, managing and strengthening dealer relationships, and ensuring achievement of sales targets across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in channel sales, dealer development, and territory management within the automobile or EV industry. **Key Responsibilities:** • *1.** **Dealer Network Expansion** Identify potential markets and appoint new dealers in the assigned territory. Conduct dealer evaluations, feasibility assessments, and market mapping. Ensure smooth onboarding of new dealers including agreements, infrastructure readiness, and training. Develop a strong and profitable dealer network to maximize market coverage. • *2.** **Dealer Relationship & Performance Management** Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers to ensure long-term partnerships. Monitor dealer performance and provide guidance to improve sales productivity. Conduct regular dealer visits to review sales performance, stock levels, and customer feedback. Resolve dealer operational issues and ensure adherence to company policies and brand standards. • *3.** **Sales Target Achievement** Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the territory. Track target vs. achievement and implement corrective action plans where necessary. Develop strategies to increase retail sales through dealer engagement and local market activities. • *4.** **Market Development & Competitive Analysis** Conduct regular market visits to understand customer preferences and market trends. Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product positioning. Identify new growth opportunities to increase market share in the EV two-wheeler segment. • *5.** **Sales Planning & Execution** Prepare sales forecasts and territory growth plans. Coordinate with marketing teams for local campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities. Support dealers in organizing events such as test ride camps, roadshows, and product demonstrations. • *6.** **Reporting & Territory Management** Prepare regular reports on sales performance, dealer productivity, and market insights. Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecast data. Provide strategic feedback to senior management for improving sales performance and network expansion. *Preferred candidate profile** • *Educational Qualification:** Bachelors Degree in any discipline, MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred. • **Total Experience:** 7 to 12 years in sales. Minimum **3 to 5 years in a Territory manager/Area Sales Manager or similar leadership role**. Proven experience in **channel sales, distributor/dealer appointment, and dealer network expansion**. Experience in **automobile, EV, two-wheeler, automotive components, or consumer durable industry** preferred. Prior experience handling **multi-state territories and managing sales teams**.
