As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end category growth through strategic marketing initiatives and hands-on onsite operations. You will own the customer journey on the platform, from high-level campaign planning to the granular execution of onsite merchandising, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for every shopper. Responsibilities • Category Growth & Strategy: Drive growth through structured, high-impact strategic initiatives and analyze performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify new opportunities. • Marketing & Brand Collaboration: Develop and execute innovative category-led marketing campaigns in collaboration with brands to boost visibility and sales. • Onsite Operations & Merchandising: Take hands-on ownership of onsite category pages to ensure the right products are showcased at the right time. • Funnel Optimization: Analyze and optimize both upper-funnel and lower-funnel metrics to improve category performance and customer engagement. • Customer Understanding: Build a deep understanding of toy consumers (seasonality, price sensitivity, trends, and occasions) to devise and implement effective marketing strategies. • Communication & CRM: Develop the category communication strategy in collaboration with design and content teams, and assess the impact/uplift from CRM campaigns. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Pricing, and Ads teams to enhance overall category performance. • Insights & Reporting: Use a structured approach to analyze business problems, benchmark against competitors, and communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders. What you'll need: • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; an MBA is a plus. • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in e-commerce or marketplace businesses. • Domain Expertise: Prior exposure to consumer brands is strongly preferred. • Functional Skills: Proven experience in brand marketing, category planning, growth initiatives, and hands-on onsite merchandising. • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a structured mindset and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or BigQuery experience is a strong plus. • Mindset: High ownership, a "go-getter" attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight timelines. • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
