Job Description – Assistant Manager Financial Reporting We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting to support and strengthen our Finance & Accounts function. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end financial reporting activities, lead a team of 12–13 members, ensure high-quality month-end closing, and drive continuous improvement across reporting processes. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End Close • Oversee and manage complete month-end closing activities. • Prepare and review financial statements and general ledger (GL) activities. • Prepare Financial Reporting Packs and Management Reporting Packs. • Support the development of standalone and consolidated financial statements. Team Leadership & Performance Management • Lead, guide, and manage a team of 12–13 finance professionals. • Allocate work, communicate deadlines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. • Conduct performance reviews and support capability-building initiatives. • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and cross-functional departments. Compliance, Review & Quality Control • Perform detailed reviews of financial reporting outputs. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements. • Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and ensure accurate adjustments. Reporting Accuracy & Data Validation • Validate data accuracy in reporting submissions. • Support auditors by providing necessary data, reconciliations, and documentation. Process Improvement & Automation • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes. • Implement best practices for efficiency, accuracy, and automation. • Support system enhancements and workflow optimization within SAP and reporting tools. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless reporting cycles. • Support cross-team operations during audits, reviews, and compliance cycles. Requirements • CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification. • 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting or accounting. • Strong expertise in accounting standards, financial statements, GL processes, and consolidation. • Experience with SEBI reporting requirements (preferred). • Exposure to indirect tax compliance for the UK/Europe region (added advantage). • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical skills. • Working knowledge of SAP (preferred). • Excellent communication, people management, and coordination skills. • Ability to work under strict deadlines with high attention to detail.
