Job Overview: As an Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing, you will support the sales and marketing leadership in driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and enhancing brand visibility. The role involves managing key accounts, assisting in new business development, and contributing to marketing initiatives that support sales objectives. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and partners to ensure consistent delivery of sales targets and effective market presence. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. - Support the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand the client base. - Assist in implementing tailored sales solutions to drive brand share growth for hotel and destination sales. - Contribute to increasing revenue from managed accounts and supporting the expansion of the account portfolio. - Support the management and development of client accounts to maximize market share and revenue. - Assist in the execution of long-term account strategies, including global preferred agreements and partnerships. - Connect with MICE and event management companies to generate enquiries and support business closures. Marketing & Brand Support - Support sales-driven marketing initiatives, including promotions, campaigns, and brand-led activities aligned with business goals. - Assist in planning and executing India Showcase events, roadshows, sales missions, and industry networking events in major cities. - Coordinate with internal marketing teams and external partners to ensure consistent brand communication across markets. - Support PR and media-related activities in coordination with internal teams and external agencies, including press interactions, familiarization trips, and industry outreach. - Assist in managing brand presence and reputation by supporting press releases, media briefs, key announcements, and participation in industry events and forums. - Support the creation and use of marketing collaterals, presentations, sales tools, and digital assets. - Assist in tracking the effectiveness of marketing activities and sharing insights to support future strategies. Market Intelligence & Reporting - Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity, and share relevant insights with the team. - Assist in leveraging market and economic insights to understand their impact on revenue performance. - Maintain accurate records of sales activities and support the preparation of regular sales and performance reports. - Effectively utilize sales management, CRM, and reporting systems. Qualifications and Requirements - Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management. - Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related role, preferably within hospitality, travel, or tourism. - Exposure to international and regional clients, with experience promoting multi-hotel brands or destinations. - Knowledge of local and global corporate markets, particularly the India outbound travel and leisure/MICE segment. - Working knowledge of sales principles, account management, and basic marketing concepts. - Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and organizational skills. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Confidence in representing multiple properties, brands, or destinations, including in a remote working environment. - Understanding of market trends, customer needs, and brand positioning. - Strong reporting, presentation, and follow-up skills. - Flexible and proactive working approach.
