We are seeking a talented individual to join our Oliver Wyman team. This role will be based in Pune/Gurugram. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Associate Director - IT Product Development The OWG Tech department is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to guide and actively contribute to our development teams. This role will be approximately 60%-80% hands-on, leading developer groups focused on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions primarily using the MEAN/MERN stack. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both relational (SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, cloud experience (AWS preferred), and strong skills in CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes. A solid understanding of OWASP security best practices and observability tools like Datadog is essential. We will count on you to: • Lead and mentor developer groups, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices. • Act as a hands-on contributor for approximately 80% of the time, driving development efforts in MEAN/MERN stack applications. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant software solutions using relational (SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases. • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions, preferably on AWS, ensuring robust, scalable infrastructure. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment automation. • Enforce OWASP security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. • Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions using Datadog to ensure system reliability and performance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and operations to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Conduct code reviews, architectural reviews, and provide technical guidance to development teams. • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and technology stack. • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team. What you need to have: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience. • 13 years or more experience in software development with progressive leadership responsibilities. • Strong hands-on experience with MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) or MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stacks. • Proficient with relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL, and non-relational databases like MongoDB. • Experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS. • Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration. • Deep understanding of OWASP security best practices and their application in software development. What makes you stand out? • Experience with Agentic AI technologies—including designing, integrating, and managing autonomous AI agents—is highly valued. • Experience with observability and monitoring tools, specifically Datadog. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively across teams. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure while maintaining architectural integrity. • Familiarity with AI/ML, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and lifecycle management is a plus but not a primary requirement. • Experience with Microsoft stack, including SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate. • Experience with Salesforce platform and integrations is nice to have.
