About the job
Role You will join a team that directly caters to the front offices of global asset managers. As a Associate in Linedataʼs Research team, you will work closely with Portfolio Managers and Senior Research Professionals. You will be responsible for providing fundamental research support to buy-side clients. The role spans across various aspects of investment research – initiating/maintaining analysis on the coverage universe, understanding macroeconomic and sectoral trends, tracking corporate events, reviewing the work of co-members, training and mentoring junior analysts, etc. You are also expected to proactively engage with different stakeholders to ensure informed and timely investment decision making by clients. Responsibilities • Provide credit research support to global asset managers investing in US and European loans and bonds • Initiate/maintain multiple deliverables, such as financial models, screeners, research notes for the companies/industries under coverage • Conduct detailed capital structure and covenant analysis • Prepare earnings summaries, credit outlook, and writeups on investment pros and cons for companies under coverage • Effectively communicate ideas and research findings to clients • Ensure adherence to high quality standards and industry best practices • Lead a team of analysts to conduct in-depth credit research and help scale the research practice. Skills Required • Sound experience in credit research (4+ years) • Exposure to US/European capital markets • Deep understanding of capital/corporate structure and various debt documents such as credit agreements and bond indentures • Experience in writing reports • Strong excel modelling and analytical skills with attention to detail • Ability to independently execute assignments under tight deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Team player with professional demeanor Advantageous Skills • Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters, etc. Academic Requirements • MBA or equivalent qualification in finance, and/or CFA
