About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our Liabilities team within the Consumer Banking Group in Mumbai. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving business growth, ensuring robust financial performance, and maintaining a strong control environment, with a particular focus on enhancing our digital payment offerings and customer engagement for Debit Card. Key Requirements • Financial & Risk Management: • Achieve financial targets and budgets for the debit card portfolio within the Consumer Banking Group • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with debit card products related payment services • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies • Business Development & Growth (Payments Focus): • Drive increased transaction penetration for new features and products, partnership for debit cards • Contribute significantly to the growth of the existing debit card business, targeting increased active customer and higher transaction volumes and value • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the liabilities and payments space • Project Management & Regulatory Compliance: • Lead and support the delivery of regulatory and enhancement projects related to debit card payments, including various app features (e.g. Debit Card issuance, card control journeys across banking app and internal platforms) • Oversee projects with other units which are linked to Debit Card • Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives such with ecosystem partners (tech & commercial) Required Experience • Min. 3+ years of experience with a proven track record in the financial services and/or banks, ideally in digital channels space Education / Preferred Qualifications • MBA from premier institute Core Competencies • Results driven - possesses an ability to find solutions to difficult problems quickly and effectively • Process orientation - ability to perform within existing systems and processes, while project managing for process improvement • Interpersonal effectiveness and ability to influence - ability to interpret data and articulate to convince others • Team Effectiveness - Ability to work in a cross-functional, dynamic environment and support team members in the achievement of their goals • Multi-tasking - Ability to manage multiple complex projects at various stages of development simultaneously Work Relationship • Ability to work in a cross-functional, dynamic environment and support team members in the achievement of their goals DBS India - Culture & Behaviors • Drive performance through Value Based Propositions • Build pride and passion to protect, maintain and enhance DBS’ image and reputation • Enhance knowledge base, build skill sets & develop competencies • Invest in team building & motivation through ideation & innovation • Execute at speed while maintaining error-free operations • Develop a passion for performance and grow the talent pool • Maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity
