Backend Developer

About the job

Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. • Work on system architecture, database design, and application performance optimization. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, Product, DevOps) to define and deliver product features. • Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with enterprise standards. • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices. • Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes. • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance. Must-Haves: • Minimum 2 years of backend development experience in an enterprise product environment. • Strong proficiency in languages like Node.js, Java, Python, or Go. • Experience in building RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of system design principles. Good-to-Have: • Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.). • Knowledge of caching systems like Redis or Memcached. • Exposure to distributed systems, load balancing, and scaling strategies. • Understanding of security best practices and authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT). • Previous experience working in agile, product-based teams.
