Backend Developer

About the job

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Spring Boot and Java to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Java. • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality features. • Implement microservices architecture and ensure service reliability and scalability. • Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and write efficient, optimized queries. • Integrate with external APIs and third-party services. • Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with best practices. • Write unit and integration tests for backend services. • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization. • Deploy and monitor applications in different environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 2–5 years of professional backend development experience. • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+ preferred). • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework (Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring MVC). • Strong understanding of REST API design principles. • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORMs (Hibernate / JPA). • Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and agile development processes. • Knowledge of Microservices and Containerization and Cloud Infrastructure. • Understanding of application security best practices (JWT, OAuth2, etc.). Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience with Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Understanding of caching (Redis, Hazelcast).
