Backend developer. Builds and owns backend systems end-to-end - from development and testing to deployment and monitoring - ensuring reliability, correctness, and performance for user-facing financial workflows. Contributes to system design and technical discussions, bringing clarity to requirements, proposing improvements, and ensuring solutions follow engineering best practices for scalability, safety, and maintainability. Writes clean, well-structured, and testable code, adheres to coding standards, and actively participates in code reviews to improve overall team quality. Collaborates effectively across engineering, product, risk, and operations to deliver high-quality features with predictable execution and a strong sense of ownership. Continuously upskills in fintech domain areas and proactively applies learnings to build safer and more reliable systems. Qualifiers: 3+ years of backend engineering experience in fintech, trading, or stock brokerage systems with exposure to OMS, RMS, Back Office & compliance systems. Experience with Java, Golang, or similar strongly-typed backend languages. Hands-on experience working with distributed systems, web frameworks, RESTful APIs, and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
