Role Overview We're seeking a strong Backend Developer with AI experience to join our team. This role will focus on designing and implementing scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support our AI-powered healthcare products. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, frontend engineers, and product leaders to bring advanced AI models into production. Responsibilities : • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs to support healthcare AI applications. • Integrate AI / ML models into production environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. • Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure) to deploy and optimize backend services. • Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, storing, and serving large healthcare datasets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI / ML, product, frontend) to deliver end-to-end solutions. • Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy / security standards (HIPAA, PHI handling). • Optimize backend performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. Requirements : • 4+ years of experience as a Backend Developer / Software Engineer. • Strong expertise in Python, Node.js, or Java (Python preferred for AI workflows). • Hands-on experience integrating and deploying AI / ML models into production systems. • Strong understanding of databases (SQL & NoSQL), RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and model lifecycle management. • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills. • Knowledge of healthcare standards (HIPAA, FHIR, HL7) is a big plus. Experience constraints will be relaxed for proactive and zealous learners who are interested in AI. Above all, we value talented team players, who want to learn, work and grow with the company. Nice to Have: • Experience with Kafka, Spark, or other data processing frameworks. • Exposure to GraphQL APIs. • Knowledge of MLOps and CI / CD for AI pipelines. • Previous work in healthcare tech or health data systems.
