Job Title: Backend Engineer Job Location: Bangalore (Indiranagar) What you will do • Build up Even's back end infrastructure. We handle everything ourselves, from insurance use cases to healthcare ones, so the scope is very large and the team is small. You will get a lot of ownership and responsibility • Build the tools which enable our doctors and hospitals to provide efficient, seamless access to care: EHR platform, Telemedicine, Cashless settlements, Hospital portals, Booking systems • Build tools for boosting productivity of your fellow developers, and team members (existing examples include: time machine that let’s us view our DB data at any point in history, an LLM based data science engine) • Enable and build up our AI/ML use cases around risk quantification, prevention, and patient engagement (e.g. we have an LLM based medical chatbot on whatsapp) • Integrate with external partners and vendors (such as: labs and diagnostics centres, banks for UPI payments, hospitals, payment gateways and KYC solutions, analytics tools) What you will need • Proficiency in Go or a similar strongly typed language like C++. • Experience building performant distributed systems. • Exposure to programming practices in tech (or tech-first) companies (such as: distributed build systems, continuous integration & deployment, staging/prod environments, unit testing, code reviews) Good to have • Experience with serverless architectures • Exposure to Google Cloud and Firebase • Data engineering experience, and an interest in ML Skills: java, backend development, distributed systems, google cloud, c++, go (golang)

With under 20 people we have built up a lot of systems from scratch over the past 2 years. Everything from an in-house EHR platform, to a consumer app full of features, countless integrations and internal platforms. We have even built our own UPI scanner by integrating directly with banks. There is so much which the tech team does at Even, and there is still so much more to build!
