Backend Engineer

About the job

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with solid experience building reliable, scalable backend systems using Python and Django. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and REST APIs using Python and Django. • Design efficient database schemas and write performant SQL queries. • Build and maintain integrations with third-party services and internal tools. • Work with AWS services such as EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, SES to build scalable cloud-based solutions. • Contribute to system architecture discussions and help improve application performance and reliability. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. • Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams. • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and deployment processes. Requirements: • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Python and Django. • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL. • Experience with AWS services: EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, SES. • Familiarity with REST API design principles. • Experience working with Git, Docker, and modern CI/CD workflows. • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with Databricks or PySpark. • Knowledge of SQLAlchemy. • Experience with WhatsApp Business API or similar messaging integrations. • Familiarity with asynchronous tasks (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ). • Understanding of event-driven architectures or microservices. • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
