WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US As a Backend Engineer you will play a key role in driving technical excellence and leading backend development within your team. You will work across all stages of the development lifecycle designing coding testing reviewing and deploying solutions while mentoring team members and influencing technical strategy. You will leverage your expertise in .NET technologies databases and the Azure cloud ecosystem to build scalable high-performance solutions that power business-critical applications. This role requires a solid mix of hands-on engineering architectural thinking and leadership to ensure both immediate delivery and long-term sustainability. WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR - Apply engineering expertise across all phases of the development lifecycle requirements review design implementation code reviews and automated testing. - Work closely with product owners architects and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. - Establish and continuously improve engineering excellence practices coding standards testing strategies CI CD pipelines. - Drive the development of new backend features and system enhancements using .NET databases and Azure technologies. - Ensure code quality through refactoring automated testing and peer reviews. - Lead adoption of best practices in cloud-native development security and scalability on Azure. - Research and evaluate tools frameworks and approaches to support future innovations. - Collaborate within a scrum team to consistently deliver on sprint commitments and meet the Definition of Done. - Act as a mentor and role model raising technical capabilities across the engineering team.
