At rtifact, we’re building the Intelligence Layer for Cloud, Support, and Reliability Engineering - a platform that unifies DevOps, Support, and SRE operations across cloud environments. We’re looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer who’s passionate about designing scalable systems, loves solving complex backend problems, and wants to be part of a team shaping the future of autonomous cloud operations. What You’ll Do • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI / Flask). • Work closely with AI, frontend, and platform teams to build features that power real-time insights and automation. • Develop and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems. • Collaborate on architecture, design reviews, and technical strategy discussions. • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices. • Deploy and monitor services in cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure). • Optimize performance and reliability for large-scale distributed systems. What We’re Looking For • 4-5 years of hands-on experience in backend development. • Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and good working knowledge of Python. • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. • Experience with databases - SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis). • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes. • Knowledge of Kafka / SQS / RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing is a plus. • Exposure to cloud infrastructure. • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills. • Excellent communication skills and be able to participate in discussions with the customers. Nice to Have • Experience working with observability tools. • Exposure to GraphQL APIs. • Basic familiarity with AI or automation-driven workflows. • Contributions to open-source or developer community projects.
