Backend Systems Architect We are looking for an experienced backend systems architect to design and develop mission-critical systems using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting and developing scalable APIs for hotels, flights, bookings, payments, and user systems. This involves implementing idempotency, retries, consistency guarantees, and fault tolerance. Responsibilities include designing domain models, state machines, queues, caching layers, and workflows. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, as well as expertise in microservices design and scaling, database skills, caching, and queue management. • Develop scalable backend systems for global hotel and flight booking engines. • Implement idempotency, retries, consistency guarantees, and fault tolerance in system designs. • Design domain models, state machines, queues, caching layers, and workflows to optimize system performance. Preferred qualifications include travel-tech experience and exposure to OpenSearch/Elasticsearch. We strive to provide competitive compensation packages based on market standards and industry benchmarks. Based on our analysis, we estimate that the salary for this position could be between ₹1,200,000 to ₹3,600,000 per annum, considering factors such as cost of living in Thiruvananthapuram, India, and the typical salary ranges for similar positions in the area.
