BAR MANAGER (New Opening - Wine Bar & Restaurant) Location: Mumbai Reporting to: Founder Onboarding: May, 2026 About the brand Pique is an all-day wine bar and restaurant based in Mumbai serving European cuisine. We are focused on delivering an experience with wine and food that is fun, friendly, and chic. The food is comforting and approachable, using fresh, local ingredients with flavours inspired by classic dishes from wine bars, bistros, and cafés across Europe. Job Summary The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations and leading the bar team to deliver a consistent, high-quality beverage and guest experience. This role manages day-to-day bar service, staff supervision, inventory control, and operational efficiency while maintaining brand standards. Key Responsibilities Bar Operations & Service • Oversee all daily bar operations and ensure smooth service during operating hours • Maintain high standards of beverage preparation, presentation, and consistency • Ensure the bar remains organized, clean, and fully operational at all times • Maintain full knowledge and understanding of the beverage menu • Ensure bar hygiene standards and proper maintenance of bar equipment Team Leadership • Lead and manage the bar team during service and prep shifts • Handle team conflicts and maintain a positive working environment • Hire, onboard, and train new bar staff • Conduct ongoing training on service standards, product knowledge, and bar procedures • Organize team schedules and monitor staff attendance and working hours Inventory & Procurement • Manage inventory of all beverage items including alcohol, mixers, and bar supplies • Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits • Place alcohol and beverage orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery • Ensure proper storage and stock rotation practices • Coordinate with accounts or management for vendor payment follow-ups Guest Experience • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through attentive service and product knowledge • Engage with guests at the bar and gather feedback on service and beverages • Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly • Maintain a welcoming and energetic bar atmosphere Operational Coordination • Work closely with management to meet revenue and service objectives • Present operational improvements and ideas to management where relevant • Coordinate with brands and partners for bar activations, takeovers, and special events • Ensure accurate recording of payroll-related information and employee hours Required Qualifications & Experience • Minimum 5–7 years experience in bar service, with leadership experience preferred • Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and bar operations • Experience working with POS systems and cash handling • Experience managing inventory and vendor coordination • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to lead a team and work efficiently under pressure • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve guest concerns calmly • Dependable, organized, and self-motivated To apply, contact:chugglebysg@gmail.com cc: achintya.pravin@spectrahospitality.com Please share your CV
