About the Team and the Role eBay’s Shared Services team plays a vital role in managing the company's money movement and billing operations. We support eBay’s global footprint by ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing across off-platform activities—managing over $156M in transactions and 14,400+ invoices annually. As a Billing Operations Specialist reporting to the Billing Manager, you will be the engine behind our Accounts Receivable workflows. This is a high-visibility role. You will collaborate with Finance, Product, and Customer Experience teams worldwide to ensure billing is accurate, efficient, and scalable. What You Will Accomplish • High-Precision Billing: Deliver timely, accurate invoices and credit memos that support $250M in revenue, ensuring compliance with billing codes and SLAs. • Strategic Partnership: Partner with Finance and Product teams to resolve billing disputes, improving customer satisfaction and reducing payment cycle times. • Drive Improvements: Identify inefficiencies in billing processes and propose scalable, data-informed solutions. • Financial Integrity: Supply to key month-end close activities by preparing reconciliations and supporting financial reporting deliverables. • Operational Excellence: Lead or support cross-functional initiatives to improve operational excellence, including billing system improvements and automation efforts. • Career Growth: Develop project management, analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills in a global finance environment. What You Will Bring • Experience: Background in financial operations, billing, or accounts receivable, with proficiency in SAP ECC and Microsoft Excel. • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the skill to interpret data and identify trends. • Clear Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively across global finance, product, and operations teams. • Detail-Oriented: Organized and able to lead multiple priorities with accuracy and accountability. • Continuous Improvement: A mentality passionate about growth and a willingness to adapt to new tools and processes.
