Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Bio-Programmer located in Melbourne, VIC, with options for remote work flexibility. The Bio-Programmer will be responsible for developing, coding, and maintaining software solutions with a focus on back-end web development and programming in support of bioinformatics-related projects. Day-to-day tasks include designing algorithms, implementing object-oriented programming principles, working collaboratively to enhance software architecture, and ensuring the efficiency and scalability of the developed solutions. Qualifications • Proficiency in Computer Science concepts and principles • Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development • Strong skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) • Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail • Ability to collaborate in a hybrid team environment with strong communication skills • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools or scientific programming is a plus • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field
