Location: Uttar Pradesh / Rajasthan / Maharashtra / Gujarat / Madhya Pradesh / Andhra Pradesh / Telangana (Mandatory) Industry: Education (B2B Sales) Segment Focus: Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead client engagement and sales initiatives within the Higher Education sector across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The role involves building relationships with university and college leadership, understanding institutional priorities, and driving adoption of the QS I-GAUGE Higher Education Rating System across these regions. This is a B2B sales role targeting higher education institutions. Key Responsibilities: • Lead business development initiatives across universities and colleges in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. • Identify and engage decision-makers at higher education institutions. • Deliver persuasive presentations to academic leaders, institutional management, and key stakeholders. • Promote the QS I-GAUGE Higher Education Rating System to expand market penetration and revenue across the assigned regions. • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent outreach and relationship-building efforts. • Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Manage proposals, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations through to closure. • Maintain accurate client data and activity logs using CRM tools. • Represent QS I-GAUGE at education conferences, institutional meetings, and sector events across the region. Accountabilities: • Achieve or exceed revenue targets within the Higher Education segment. • Expand QS I-GAUGE’s brand visibility and market presence across the assigned states. • Ensure strong client engagement and successful onboarding of partner institutions. • Provide market insights to support product development and strategic decision-making. Requirements: • 2–4 years of experience in business development or B2B sales, preferably within the education sector. • Strong network with colleges and universities in any of the listed states is an advantage. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior academic leadership. • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and driving market expansion. • Highly self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned regions (up to 70% travel). • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
