About the job

About the Role : We are redefining the role of a media agency. The Growth & Strategy team at iProspect doesn't just plan media; we act as business consultants to some of the largest brands in India. We are looking for a Business Strategist —someone who understands that marketing is a function of business, not just a function of ads. You will look at P&Ls, distribution challenges, and product-market fit to craft strategies that drive tangible business growth. Key Responsibilities : • Business & Category Consulting : Go beyond the brief. Analyze the client’s category, macro-economic trends, and competitive landscape to identify where the real growth opportunity lies. • Strategic Frameworks : Develop robust frameworks for Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), Product-Market Fit (PMF), and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies. • Financial & Data Fluency : Read and interpret financial reports (Annual Reports, P&L statements) to align marketing KPIs with the client's business objectives (EBITDA, Market Share, CLTV). • New Business Growth : Lead the narrative for high-stakes pitches. You will be the person who translates complex data into a compelling story that wins the room. • Distribution & Product Strategy : Advise clients on gaps in their distribution or product positioning that might be hindering marketing performance. Who Should Apply (The Ideal Profiles) : We are looking for cognitive diversity. You are a strong fit if you fall into any of these buckets : • The Pivot : Engineer + MBA with 3+ years in Tech / Product companies or PE / VC firms, looking to apply your analytical rigor to marketing strategy. • The Consultant : MBA + Experience in Big 4 / Management Consulting, used to solving complex business problems and creating C-suite presentations. • The Builder : Product Manager / Project Manager from a startup environment who understands the chaos of scaling and finding PMF. • The Brand Owner : Brand / Category Manager from a large Tech / eComm setup (Google / Amazon / Flipkart) who wants to work across multiple industries. • The Journey Expert : CRM / Digital Journey specialist who understands how data and personalization drive Customer Lifetime Value. Skills & Competencies : Essential (Must-Have) : • Strategic Storytelling : Exceptional ability to create decks and presentations. You must be able to tell a story that simplifies complexity for CXOs. • Business Acumen : Ability to read a Balance Sheet / P&L and understand how businesses make money. • Macro-Analysis : Proficiency in analyzing market trends, consumer behavior shifts, and regulatory environments. • Communication : Articulate, confident, and capable of holding your ground in a room full of senior stakeholders. Good-to-Have (Bonus) : • Experience with SQL or Data Visualization tools (for the Tech profile). • Deep understanding of Unit Economics (CAC, LTV, Burn Rate) (for the VC / Startup profile). • Understanding of AdTech / MarTech ecosystems.
