The Opportunity We’re hiring a Cargo Sales Officer to build and grow our cargo business to the Maldives, working closely with Maldivian Cargo and partner airlines/shipping lines. What You’ll Do: • Win new customers and grow existing accounts for Maldives-bound cargo (air and sea) • Sell air cargo solutions for perishables and general cargo, and sea freight where suitable • Travel to meet customers across South India (field role) — full travel allowances provided • Speak directly with Maldivian customers/agents/partners and convert opportunities • Prepare pricing independently and negotiate confidently, with margin responsibility • Coordinate with Maldivian Cargo, airlines/shipping lines, and operations to ensure smooth execution • Maintain disciplined follow-ups, pipeline updates, and customer communication through CRM/ERP tools What We Expect (Non-Negotiable Traits): • Phone-first sales mindset: you should be comfortable picking up the phone, calling decision-makers, and driving conversations to closure. • Strong follow-up discipline—no dropped leads, no “I messaged them” excuses • Ownership mindset: if the shipment is stuck, you push until it moves What We’re Looking For: • Experience in cargo sales OR cargo operations with strong commercial capability • Familiarity with Maldives cargo movement is a major advantage • Strong understanding of air cargo basics: chargeable weight, pricing structure, routings, cut-offs, documentation • Confidence dealing with overseas customers over calls/email • Ability to price shipments independently and defend margins
