About the job

Job Purpose: To manage the complete procurement and sourcing process for Electronics(PCBA , Wire Harness , Eeprom chips , Pumps , Motors etc.) , Sheet Metal, Water coolers , Water Softeners , Vaccum Cleaners , Air Purifiers and Imported Appliance categories. The role focuses on ensuring cost-effective buying, developing reliable suppliers, and maintaining smooth material availability. This position also plays a key part in cost optimization, localization, and “Make in India” initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Procurement • Plan and manage sourcing for key components and high-value materials. • Handle annual procurement budgets and ensure cost control. • Streamline and centralize the procurement process for better governance. • Identify and onboard new domestic and international suppliers as per business needs. • Manage import procurement for finished goods from countries like China and Thailand. • Spares procurement and management Cost Management & Negotiation • Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Use zero-based costing and should costing to track and control expenses. • Review product BOMs and conduct cost benchmarking. • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve annual cost reduction goals. • Implement transparent price revision and cost-control systems. Vendor Development • Develop and manage reliable suppliers for electronics, sheet metal, and appliances. • Build strong partnerships with EMS vendors and improve supplier performance. • Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency. Make in India / Localization • Lead “Make in India” projects for imported appliances like Vacuum Cleaners and Air Purifiers. • Shift from SKD/CKD imports to local manufacturing through domestic partners. • Develop local component suppliers to reduce import dependence and improve cost competitiveness. Inventory & Supply Chain • Set and maintain stock levels at factories and implement VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory). • Coordinate with planning and production teams for timely material availability. • Identify and manage risks across the supply chain. Key Results Areas (KRAs): • Yearly cost reduction achievement • Supplier performance on quality, delivery, and pricing • Procurement budget control • Localization / Make in India progress • Inventory and stock norm compliance • Process and policy governance Skills & Strengths: • Strong sourcing and category management skills • Excellent in cost analysis, negotiation, and supplier management • Strategic thinking with hands-on approach • Good at relationship management and teamwork • Proficient in SAP / Oracle ERP and Advanced Excel Required profile: • Experience: Min. 15 years of experience in vendor development, sourcing, procurement and vendor management • Education: Graduate/PG from reputed institution in Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
