About the Client ARAs Client is a leading alloy steel producer based in Pune, India. The client is an Indian multinational with high technology, engineering & manufacturing capability with a turnover of more than USD 3 billion. The company produce high alloy specialty steel products catering to critical end applications in industries like Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Energy, Oil & Gas, Railways, Infrastructure, Marine etc. The company is a trusted partner for their customers to produce customized grade of steel for their varied requirement. Role Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of post-qualification experience, deep expertise in financial accounting, taxation, compliance, and ERP systems (preferably SAP). Key Responsibilities: • Financial Accounting & Reporting • Oversee GL, AP/AR, asset accounting • Ensure timely closing of books (monthly, quarterly, yearly) • Prepare/review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) under Indian GAAP/Ind AS • Coordinate statutory audits • Present monthly MIS reports and performance analysis ERP & Process Improvements • Ensure accurate reporting via ERP (SAP preferred) • Drive automation and process improvements • Strengthen internal controls and governance Taxation & Compliance • Manage GST, TDS, Corporate Tax compliance • Handle returns, audits, and statutory filings • Liaise with consultants and authorities for assessments Special Assignments • Execute CFO/senior management directives Must-Have Qualifications • CA (cleared within 2–3 attempts) • 8–10 years (manufacturing industry preferred) • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, costing, compliance • Proficiency in SAP FICO and MS Excel • Analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal effectiveness Strong grasp of accounting standards, taxation, costing, compliance (manufacturing sector focus) • Proficiency in SAP FICO and MS Excel • Analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal effectiveness • Discipline, hard work, and business acumen. Nice-to-Have Skills • The role demands strong business acumen and leadership skills to support strategic decision-making.
