Role Overview Technip Energies is seeking an experienced Chief Manager BD & Sales (Technology) to lead business development, marketing, and sales activities for its Technology Portfolio in India. This senior role will be instrumental in driving growth, managing key client relationships, developing sales strategies, and closing technology-led projects. The role acts as the primary interface between clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination with engineering, commercial, legal, and management teams. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales • Lead business development, marketing, and sales for Technip Energies Technology Portfolio including Ethylene, FCC, and Petrochemicals (Styrene, Cumene, IPA, Bisphenol, Epicerol, PET, etc.). • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities aligned with company strategy. • Formulate prospect strategies and capture plans to strengthen market positioning. • Drive achievement of sales targets and revenue objectives. Client & Stakeholder Management • Act as the first point of contact for clients and maintain long-term relationships across multiple stakeholder levels. • Understand client requirements for large-scale technology projects such as ethylene plants, refining units, and petrochemical complexes. • Develop and manage key client accounts and nurture strategic partnerships. • Represent Technip Energies at client meetings, negotiations, and industry forums. Proposal & Contract Management • Review tender enquiries and clearly define technical and commercial requirements for proposal teams. • Support preparation of techno-commercial proposals and sales strategies. • Ensure full compliance with Technip Energies global sales and governance processes. • Lead commercial negotiations and finalize contracts in line with company policies. Market Intelligence & Strategy • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments. • Gather and analyze competitor intelligence to support strategic decision-making. • Maintain strong knowledge of Technip Energies technology portfolio and value proposition. Experience (Mandatory) • 1618 years of total professional experience, with significant exposure to: • Business Development and Sales for technology licensing / process technology projects • Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries • Client-facing roles involving senior decision-makers and influencers • Hands-on experience in: • Process engineering concepts and technology/licensor selection • Managing complex, high-value techno-commercial proposals • Contract negotiations and understanding of commercial and legal terms • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and business growth targets. • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, commercial, legal, and management.
