Job Description – Community Development Specialist / Team Leader The Community Development Specialist / Team Leader will be responsible for supporting and implementing community-based activities under the project. The role involves extensive fieldwork, coordination with communities and stakeholders, and implementation of livelihood, skill development, health awareness, and income restoration interventions. The position requires strong participatory skills and familiarity with the local context. The assignment is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat under Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, funded by the World Bank. Key Responsibilities: • Undertake and supervise field-level implementation of project activities • Support livelihood and skill development programmes, including vocational training • Conduct livelihood analysis and support income restoration activities • Facilitate community participation, consultations, and liaison with stakeholders • Support implementation of health awareness and social development activities • Coordinate with AMC, local agencies, NGOs, and community institutions • Monitor field activities and assist in preparation of progress reports • Ensure activities are implemented as per World Bank guidelines and project requirements Qualifications & Experience: • Post-graduate degree in Social Work / Social Sciences or related discipline • Minimum 5 years of experience in fieldwork • Experience in at least one project involving livelihood and skill development, health awareness, and income restoration • Experience in livelihood analysis and implementation of skill development and vocational training programmes • Strong participatory management and liaison skills • Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English Project Authority: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Funding Agency: World Bank Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Apply: Please send your updated CV and portfolio (if applicable) to hr.radiant.archi@gmail.com with the subject line: “ Economist – Capacity Building– World Bank Project.”
