Role Overview IHCL, India’s largest hospitality company and a Tata Group enterprise, is on an ambitious growth path under its Accelerate 2030 strategy. The Corporate Director – Strategic Finance leads strategic finance initiatives, inorganic growth opportunities, investor relations, and group simplification. Key Responsibilities 1) Strategic Finance & Planning • Develop long-term business plans and conduct scenario modeling to track Accelerate 2030 outcomes. • Optimize capital allocation and portfolio performance; create dashboards and review mechanisms. • Drive group simplification and restructuring initiatives to streamline entities and improve efficiency. • Lead peer benchmarking; track operating models and metrics of hospitality and real estate peers. • Execute CFO priority projects, including cost optimization, treasury considerations, and special studies. 2) Inorganic Growth & Strategic Partnerships • Originate and evaluate inorganic opportunities (acquisitions, strategic partnerships, JVs) aligned to asset-light growth. • Run market intelligence and competitor benchmarking; build target screening frameworks. • Build investment cases (valuation, ROI, synergy analysis) and prepare board/leadership materials. • Lead due diligence across legal, tax, financial, and operations; negotiate key terms and finalize agreements. • Develop integration plans; track synergy delivery and ensure cultural and operational alignment. • Ensure regulatory compliance across domestic and cross-border transactions. 3) Investor Relations & External Communications • Shape IHCL’s investor narrative aligned to Accelerate 2030 and asset-light strategy. • Prepare quarterly results materials (presentations, earnings scripts, FAQs); engage with analysts and rating agencies. • Coordinate disclosures, shareholder communications, and AGM/Board materials in line with Tata Group governance. • Monitor investor feedback and market sentiment; refine messaging and performance communication. 4) Governance, Risk & Compliance • Embed Tata Group governance standards and regulatory adherence across all strategic finance and inorganic activities. • Maintain documentation and audit readiness; ensure risk assessment and mitigation for transactions and projects. • Establish controls, trackers, and playbooks for approvals, diligence, and integration. Essential Job Tasks • Identify and screen inorganic opportunities aligned with IHCL’s asset-light model. • Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking. • Build financial models for valuation, ROI, and synergy analysis. • Prepare investment cases for leadership and board approval. • Lead due diligence and coordinate internal/external teams. • Negotiate deal terms and finalize agreements. • Create post-transaction integration plans; track synergy realization. • Ensure cultural and operational alignment of acquired/partner entities. • Drive long-term planning, scenario analyses, and group simplification. • Prepare investor materials; manage disclosures and external communication. • Uphold governance, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
