Roles & Responsibilities: • Credit Assessment: Evaluate retail loan applications based on creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and compliance with internal credit policies. • Underwriting: Perform detailed financial analysis of borrowers and recommend credit decisions within delegated authority limits. • Risk Management: Identify potential credit risks in proposals and suggest risk mitigants; ensure portfolio quality through periodic reviews. • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit recommendations. • Process Improvement: Collaborate with sales, operations, and risk teams to streamline credit approval processes and improve turnaround time. • Team Collaboration: Guide junior credit officers, ensure consistency in underwriting decisions, and contribute to skill development. • MIS & Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and policy deviations. • Coordination: Liaise with legal, technical, and verification agencies to ensure accuracy and reliability of documentation and field checks.
