About The Role As a Data Discovery and Enrichment (DDE) expert, you will develop and enhance knowledge organization systems such as taxonomies and knowledge graphs to support Elsevier's engineering products and collaborate with experts to streamline taxonomy management processes. You will contribute to developing indexing pipelines for engineering content and be responsible for performing Quality Assurance. Responsibilities • Develop and manage knowledge organization systems for supporting products in the engineering domain. • Collaborate with a team of experts to implement best practices to streamline taxonomy management processes. • Collaborate with a team of data scientists and DDE experts to develop an automated indexing pipeline. • Perform routine quality assurance to guarantee high quality output of the content indexing process. • Support innovation projects in collaboration with data science groups and other DDEs. Requirements • Master's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, material sciences. • Experience in taxonomy development or data enrichment preferred. • Understanding of database management, data models, and data structures. • Understanding of quality assurance best practices. • Understanding of automated indexing techniques (e.g. text mining or NLP or ML) and complex classification rules preferred. • Knowledge of python and python libraries preferred. • Knowledge of Databricks preferred. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in English.
