Responsibilities: About the role: We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to lead and manage enterprise-wide data governance initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. In This Role, you will: - Develop, implement, and manage data governance frameworks, metadata management processes, and data quality policies to ensure data integrity and compliance. - Define and enforce data governance principles, standards, and best practices aligned with industry regulations such as BCBS239, GDPR, CCPA, etc. - Collaborate with teams responsible for Master Data Management, Data Privacy, and Security to ensure cohesive data management strategies. - Drive implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Governance tool — primarily Collibra, Informatica CDGC, Alation etc. - Engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data governance requirements and resolve complex data issues. - Willing to work in a hybrid working model. Mandatory skill sets: ‘Must have’ knowledge, skills and experiences: - Deep understanding and substantial experience in data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data quality frameworks, policies, and processes. - Strong knowledge of data management industry standards and regulations including BCBS239, GDPR, and CCPA. - Extensive hands-on experience with Collibra/ Informatica CDGC/Alation/ any other DG tool, including operating model design and working with Catalog connectors. - Experience in running Data Governance Literacy & Awareness programs. - Understanding of CRM Salesforce Data & experience in how to catalog & govern it. - Experience collaborating within global teams, steering committees, and governance forums to address and resolve data-related issues. Preferred skill sets: ‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences: - Certifications in Data Governance or related fields such as DAMA-CDMP, DCAM, CDMC, or tool-specific certifications. - Familiarity with other Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend, Microsoft Purview, Atlan, Solidatus, etc. - Experience contributing to RFPs, internal/external Proof of Value (POV), Accelerator development, and other data governance frameworks. Years of experience required: 8 to 10 years of experience. Education qualification: BE, B.Tech, ME, M,Tech, MBA, MCA (60% above).
