We are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Data Science Lead to drive advanced analytics initiatives across Commercial, Financial, and HR domains. This role combines hands-on modeling expertise with strategic leadership to unlock insights, guide data-driven decisions, and mentor a growing team of data scientists. Key Responsibilities: • Define and execute the data science roadmap aligned with business goals and transformation initiatives. • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. • Partner with senior leadership to identify high-impact opportunities for predictive modeling, optimization, and machine learning. • Design and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and AI solutions to solve complex business problems. • Oversee the full lifecycle of model development—from data exploration and feature engineering to validation and deployment. • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines, model scalability, and production readiness. • Ensure models are built on clean, reliable, and well-governed data. • Establish best practices for model documentation, versioning, and performance monitoring. • Promote ethical AI use and compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards. • Work with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, HR, and IT to translate business needs into analytical solutions. • Support BI teams in integrating model outputs into dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Quick Sight/Suite, Tableau). • Report the data inconsistencies and collaborate with data owners to bridge the gap. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. • Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. • Proven expertise in: - Machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch) - Programming languages (Python, R, SQL) - Data visualization tools (Power BI, Quick Sight/ Suite, Tableau) - Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Big data technologies (PySpark, Spark, Hadoop) is a plus - Model deployment and MLOps practices. • Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and security protocols. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills. Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.
