About the job

As a Data Scientist at Expro, your role will involve providing support to Group Engineering development and operational activities by analyzing physics with Expro's solutions and defining mathematical and algorithmic solutions effectively. Your key responsibilities will include: - Using proven data science techniques to develop algorithmic solutions supporting Expro's product lines for providing reliable data and results for service delivery and performance prediction for client jobs. - Providing mathematical and algorithmic support to software and firmware development teams for Expro's solutions. - Developing algorithmic solutions to large datasets collected from IoT type electronic sensing systems. - Generating intellectual property and assisting in patent authoring to improve the performance of Expro's systems. - Developing models and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to validate these models. - Ensuring comprehensive documentation of projects and archived information for accessibility. - Complying with the requirements of the quality management system and assisting in the development of procedures for managing analytical activities. - Demonstrating desirable experience using C#, Python, Multiphysics modeling, analysis of environmental sensor data, physical fluid dynamics modeling, or chemical analysis background. - Being accountable for safety and adherence to Expro HSE procedures at all times. In terms of qualifications and experience, you are expected to have: - A degree in Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics with experience in developing algorithms to model real-world behavior of large datasets from IoT-type sensor systems. - The ability to derive algorithmic solutions and apply advanced data science techniques to real-world physics and data. - Background in supporting multidisciplinary engineering development teams with modeling and data analysis. - Desirably, a background in fluid analytics or acoustic analysis. - Experience in developing visual representations of complex dynamic multivariate datasets for real-time analysis from IoT-based systems.
