About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Unit Head (Deputy General Manager) to lead our Construction Chemicals division in Nigeria. This role requires a proven leader with strong expertise in adhesives, grouts, waterproofing, and specialty construction chemicals, capable of driving both commercial growth and operational excellence. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end BU management, including P&L responsibility, manufacturing operations, sales strategy, and market expansion. Key Responsibilities • Lead the Business Unit with full accountability for P&L, growth, and profitability. • Drive sales and distribution strategy for adhesives, grouts, waterproofing, and construction chemicals. • Oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sustainability. • Manage CAPEX/OPEX planning, plant performance KPIs, and operational excellence initiatives. • Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and sales teams to launch new products and expand market share. • Build strong relationships with contractors, architects, distributors, and applicators. • Ensure compliance with ISO, EHS, and regulatory standards. • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of performance and accountability. • Represent the BU in strategic decision-making and corporate planning. Qualifications & Experience • 10 -15 years of experience in construction chemicals, adhesives, grouts, or coatings. • Proven track record in Business Unit leadership, P&L management, and market expansion. • Strong background in manufacturing operations and plant management. • Experience in sales/distribution leadership within adhesives or construction chemicals. • International exposure (IMEA, SAARC, GCC, or Africa markets) preferred. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
