As we continue to strengthen and scale our presence across channels, we are seeking a Deputy Product Development Head to lead innovation and excellence within our Product & Design Department. ROLE SUMMARY The Deputy Product Development Head is responsible for leading Sweet Dreams’ end-to-end product creation engine, driving product strategy, design direction, innovation, sourcing alignment, and commercial performance. This role requires a strong balance of creative leadership and analytical rigour, with deep accountability for sales data analysis, trend interpretation, consumer insights, and diagnosis of product performance across both online and offline channels. As the brand’s Taste Maker and Aesthetic Guardian, the role ensures that every collection reflects Sweet Dreams’ modern sleepwear identity while meeting business objectives, margin expectations, and speed-to-market requirements. The position also champions digital transformation, enabling a more efficient, insight-driven, and technology-led product development ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: • Seasonal Range Effectiveness • On-time seasonal option plans aligned with sales, margin, and sourcing feasibility • Category-wise depth, pricing, and mix achievement Product Development Excellence • % styles approved within planned timelines • Fit, quality, and PP approval success rate • Innovation balanced with target margins Brand & Design Integrity • Adherence to Sweet Dreams design pillars (Fun, Rest, Sensuous, Travel, Active) • Consistency in brand look, feel, fit, and comfort across collections Market & Trend Relevance • Actionable insights from market, retail, and vendor visits • Trend-to-market conversion rate Product Performance • Sell-through %, ASP, margin achievement • Reduction in returns, fit issues, and quality complaints Data & Process Optimisation • Data-led decisions impacting future range planning • Adoption of dashboards, PLM, and digital workflows Cross-Functional Alignment • Timely range sign-offs with Sales, Sourcing, and Marketing • Effectiveness of range presentations and buy finalisation Team Leadership • Team productivity, skill development, and retention • Adherence to development timelines and SOPs Product Training Impact • Completion of seasonal product training • Sales team product knowledge effectiveness Management Reviews • Monthly review completion with actionable outcomes • Closure rate of agreed corrective actions Qualifications & Skills • Degree in Fashion Design / Apparel Design / Textile Design from a reputed institute (NIFT or equivalent preferred). • 8–12 years of experience in product strategy, range planning, and end-to-end product development within fashion or lifestyle brands. • Strong expertise in seasonal option planning, pricing architecture, margin management, and commercial product decision-making. • Proven ability in brand taste making, creative direction, and governance of design frameworks and brand aesthetics. • Advanced skills in data analysis, PLM systems, digital product development tools, and cross-functional leadership.
