Locations: Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram (Full-Time) Work Type: Permanent Experience Required: 2 – 3 Years (0–3 yrs relevant cloud/data exp per JD) Compensation: INR 14,00,000 – 16,00,000 CTC Job Overview Client is hiring a Developer II – Software Engineering (Junior Dev Cloud Engineer) to design, develop, and deploy scalable data processing and orchestration solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role is hands‑on with Java 17+, Apache Beam on Cloud Dataflow, Airflow/Cloud Composer, and GCP Big Data services, working closely with data and cloud teams to deliver robust data pipelines. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data processing pipelines using Java 17+ and Apache Beam running on GCP Cloud Dataflow. • Build and manage orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow or GCP Cloud Composer, including DAG creation with common and custom operators. • Use GCP Big Data services (BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud SQL, GCS) for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and optimization. • Write, optimize, and review complex SQL queries, especially in BigQuery and Cloud SQL. • Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and best practices. • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Developers to deliver scalable cloud solutions. Must‑Have Qualifications & Skills • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform. • Java 17+ development experience. • Hands‑on experience with Apache Beam programming on Cloud Dataflow. • Experience with Airflow or Cloud Composer for creating and managing DAGs. • Proficiency with GCP Big Data services: BigQuery, BigTable, GCS, Cloud SQL. • Strong SQL skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 0–3 years relevant experience in cloud or data engineering roles. Good‑to‑Have Skills • Experience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine). • Understanding of IAM on GCP. • Exposure to Cloud Spanner. • Experience building secure API endpoints. • Knowledge of containerization and microservices.
