Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end web-based software products within Gallagher Re’s engineering team. • Enhance, refactor, and modernize existing applications using the latest versions of .NET, optimized for cloud-native deployment. • Own small to medium-complexity applications across the full development lifecycle with a focus on performance, security, and accessibility. • Conduct peer reviews, performance benchmarking, and security assessments across existing and new codebases. • Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear development tasks and technical deliverables. Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end development using Angular. • Experience building and deploying cloud-based applications (Azure preferred). • Expertise in ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, and modern .NET frameworks (.NET 8+ preferred). • Experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs using C# and JavaScript. • Good understanding of SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and SQL stored procedures. • Exposure to: • Design patterns • CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar • Git version control • Agile Scrum delivery • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
