MUFG Global Service Private Limited: Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG's global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. About the Role: Position Title: Finance Strategy, Governance and Procurement Lead Corporate Title: VP, Finance Reporting to: Head of Finance, MGS Location: MGS - Bengaluru Job Profile Position details: To develop, implement, and manage robust procurement governance frameworks, strategic sourcing initiatives via India based suppliers / vendors, and compliance processes within MGS finance ensuring alignment with global corporate objectives, driving cost efficiencies, and mitigating supply chain risks across all MGS Finance operations. Roles and Responsibilities: • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to lead our Global Capability Center (GCC) operations within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, proven expertise in transition management, and the ability to drive operational excellence across global finance functions. This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of banking industry standards. • Transition Planning & Execution: Design detailed project plans and timelines for migrating finance workstreams, such as Accounts Payable, Regulatory Reporting, or Trade Finance. • Knowledge Transfer: Oversee the "Knowledge Capture" phase, ensuring captive teams are fully trained on local processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the onshore business units and the offshore delivery teams to ensure alignment on project scope and deliverables. • Risk & Governance: Identify potential operational risks during the migration and establish "Toll Gates" to sign off on readiness for each stage (e.g., Go-Live and Stabilization). • Process Improvement: Optimize financial tools and processes post-migration to drive automation and efficiency within the captive. • Provide insightful financial analysis, data-driven recommendations, and decision support to commercial and functional leaders. • Collaborate with senior leadership and the CFO to shape and drive the financial strategy, planning, and policy for the MGS and the enterprise. • Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with senior internal stakeholders across Risk and Information Technology at MGS and experiment the Art of the Possible • Liaise and work together with global and India GEO team to integrate finance sourcing and seek necessary approvals • Manage and coordinate internal and external audit readiness, ensuring all procurement documentation and records are accurate and complete. • Conduct in-depth market research and spend analysis to identify trends, cost drivers, and new opportunities for cost optimization and value creation. • From a local MGS standpoint, oversee the selection, onboarding, and performance monitoring of suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, compliance, and performance standards. • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives in ongoing procurement processes, leveraging digital tools and e-sourcing platforms. Job Requirements: Skills and Experience: • Industry Expertise: A deep understanding of the banking landscape, including regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, SOX 1 controls) and products like cash equities or derivatives. • Financial Acumen: Strong background in accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting systems like SAP or Microsoft Dynamics. Qualifications: • MBA (Finance) or CA with a banking captive preferred • 10 -15 years of experience is often required for senior roles within large banking captive setups. • Proven track record in managing large-scale migrations or "new market entry" projects for financial services.
