Role Overview: We’re looking for analysts who don’t wait for instructions - they create direction. The kind of person who sees the signal in the noise, the opportunity in the pattern, the root cause inside the workflow. Someone who can break a problem apart, and rebuild it cleaner, faster, sharper. At Bough, analysis isn’t a task. It’s the foundation on which transformation is built. You’ll deconstruct messy finance problems, map processes end-to-end, translate ambiguity into crisp requirements, and partner across Finance, Technology, and Operations to design and land future-state workflows, controls, and automations - through to adoption and measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Break down messy finance problems into clear hypotheses and workplans. • Map processes end-to-end (Close, P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A) and identify friction, risks, and failure points. • Translate business needs into user stories/functional requirements with acceptance criteria. • Design future-state workflows that reduce cycle time and error rates; define controls, SLAs, and KPIs. • Build decision-ready analysis (drivers, root causes, options, trade-offs, recommendations). • Support implementations (systems, automation, controls) through testing, cutover, and adoption. • Create crisp deliverables: process maps, requirements, test plans, dashboards, playbooks. • Drive closure across stakeholders - no loose ends; ensure change management and training are in place. Qualifications And Experience: • 2+ years in finance transformation, consulting, business analysis, or finance operations with change ownership. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Strong fundamentals across finance processes (any mix of Close, P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A). • Hands-on exposure to at least one major ERP/EPM/workflow platform (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, Workday, BlackLine, Anaplan) and strong Excel skills; SQL/BI tools a plus. Preferred Skills: • Structured problem-solver with a bias to action and ownership. • Excellent communication: clear writing, sharp synthesis, confident facilitation. • Analytical rigor with practical judgment; comfortable with data and ambiguity. • Stakeholder management across finance, tech, and operations; documentation discipline and control mindset. • Technology curiosity (systems, automation/RPA, workflow, GenAI) - pragmatic and outcomes-led; high integrity and confidentiality.
