About the job

You will oversee and manage the Reinsurance Administration & Insurance and annuities business reporting, primarily focusing on conducting business performance analysis to assess risk and opportunities, SOX control management, incorporating trend analysis for business implications, planning, and forecasting. You will create, maintain, and enhance models used in decision support and analyze segment performance. As a partner with the Business, you will adjust assumptions or offer parameters. Additionally, you will manage and provide coaching and tactical training to Financial Analyst/s or trainees/interns. Responsibilities: - Create consolidated asset earnings for annuities business - Prepare quarterly external reporting - Manage SOX control management and support external audits - Handle the monthly billing process and Claims settlements - Perform independent analysis using multiple data sources to derive root cause and track benefits of past decisions - Review and Manage monthly/quarterly reporting - Establish planning and forecasting models - Identify risks, opportunities, and re-engineering - Lead the month-end and year-end closing process for the assigned business segment - Analyze and prepare journal entries and accruals - Undertake ad hoc projects - Independently develop/enhance simple to complex models to make future reporting and analysis more efficient Required Qualifications: - MBA/CA/B.com - 7-10 years of experience - Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access databases, and SQL queries) - Financial Analysis and problem-solving experience - Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills - Assertive, responsible, self-directed; able to work with tight deadlines and ambiguity
