Client- US MNC BPO Location: Chennai (Work from Office Only) Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM (5 working days, one-way cab provided) Role : 1. Technical Skills a. Debt Accounting- : i. Very familiar with guidance on Debt modification vs extinguishment ii. Very familiar with guidance on accounting for revolving credit lines iii. Very familiar with the guidance on treatment of deferred financing costs iv. Able to independently prepare debt origination, modification, extinguishment J/E when provided with loan agreement, closing statement / flow of fund documents v. Able to understand and document accounting treatment implications from loan documents (e.g. floating rate, extension option) b. Financial Reporting i. Consolidation ability to understand consolidation requirements based on org charts and lender requirements ii. Ability to understand how various debt and hedging transactions impact the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements (and footnotes) iii. Balance Sheet and Income Statement ability to understand the accounts and financial statement line item, and the roll up based on pre-determined hierarchy iv. Cash flow statement able to prepare cash flow statement in excel from trial balance, general ledger and account activity files v. Footnotes able to prepare debt and hedging footnotes based on GL details and other supporting schedules vi. Check for internal consistency ability to perform financial statement tie out, including checking for internal consistency c. Hedge Accounting i. Basic understanding of interest rate swaps ii.
