Job Title: Financial and planning Analyst Location: Mohali (Work from office)/ Ludhiana (Work from office) Working Days: 1 working Saturday, rest five days a week. About the role: We are looking for a financial professional who is excited about the financial planning and analysis department of a client. They will also be responsible for tracking a company's financial plan and analyzing the company's performance, alongside changes and market trends. The Candidate should be strongly a result-driven person capable of working in a customer-demanding environment where multi-tasking and time management skills are critical. Roles & Responsibilities: • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standards and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking • Responsible for quality assurance of content produced by junior analysts in the team Required Skills/Experience: • MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics may also apply • Proven work experience in a quantitatively-heavy role • Strong quantitative and analytical competency • Strong verbal and written skills • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
