Role Overview We are looking to hire a Financial Journalist (Global Markets) to join our Research & Consulting team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial journalism or business reporting who enjoys engaging conversations, asking the right questions, and translating expert insights into structured intelligence. The individual will play a critical role in moderating expert calls, interacting with senior industry professionals, and supporting client-led research engagements across global markets. Key Responsibilities Expert Call Moderation & Primary Research • Moderate and lead expert interviews with senior industry professionals across global markets (CXOs, industry specialists, investors, operators). • Prepare discussion guides, question frameworks, and interview outlines based on client briefs. • Ask sharp, contextual, and insightful questions to extract high-quality insights. • Manage call flow, ensure time discipline, and keep discussions aligned with research objectives. Research & Insight Development • Understand client research objectives, hypotheses, and information gaps. • Synthesize expert conversations into structured summaries, key takeaways, and thematic insights. • Support consultants and project managers in building client-ready outputs. • Track macroeconomic, sectoral, and financial market trends relevant to ongoing projects. Stakeholder & Expert Interaction • Communicate professionally with global experts before and after calls. • Build rapport with experts to encourage open, high-quality discussions. • Coordinate with internal teams (Expert Network, Consultants, Project Managers) to ensure smooth execution of engagements. Content & Knowledge Support (Optional / Value-Add) • Assist in drafting market notes, sector briefs, or internal knowledge documents. • Help refine client questionnaires and research narratives using a journalist’s lens. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience & Background • 3–7 years of experience in financial journalism, business journalism, equity research, market research, consulting, or related roles. • Prior experience covering global markets, macroeconomics, capital markets, industries, or corporate sectors is highly preferred. • Experience interacting with senior professionals and subject matter experts is a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies • Excellent verbal communication and interviewing skills. • Strong ability to ask probing, logical, and follow-up questions. • High comfort level moderating discussions with senior stakeholders. • Strong analytical thinking and ability to connect dots across conversations. • Clear, structured writing and summarization skills. • Ability to quickly grasp new industries and business models.
