Job Purpose: The Financial Modelling Executive is responsible for developing financial models, conducting risk assessments, and preparing financial analyses for water sector projects. The role involves supporting bid preparation with accurate cost estimates, ensuring alignment with company profitability targets, and providing financial insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making. Responsibilities Financial Analysis and Modelling: • Develop comprehensive financial models for water sector projects, including desalination, wastewater treatment, irrigation, and integrated water resource management • Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessments to evaluate the financial viability of potential projects and tenders • Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and profitability analyses to support decision-making processes Bid Preparation Support: • Collaborate with the tendering team to prepare accurate and competitive financial proposals, including detailed cost estimates and pricing strategies • Analyse project costs, revenues, and margins to ensure that bids align with company financial goals and profitability targets • Assist in the preparation of financial sections of tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards Reporting and Stakeholder Management: • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including project viability assessments, financial risk analyses, and bid performance summaries, to the BD and tendering head and senior management • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and engineering teams, to ensure alignment on financial aspects of projects • Support the BD and tendering head in negotiations with clients and stakeholders by providing financial data and insights Key Stakeholders - Internal: • BD and Tendering Team Key Stakeholders - External: • Clients • Government Bodies • Auditors/ Consultants Qualifications • CA / MBA (finance) or equivalent • 8+ years of relevant experience
