The Global Finance Shared Services (FSS) is a finance function designed to bring together finance and accounting professionals to streamline and enhance processes and tools. Within FSS, the Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Pune, India, provides centralized financial and analytical support across all Wolters Kluwer divisions. The team, comprising finance professionals and data scientists, focuses on finance reporting harmonization, technology enablement, and reporting and analytics enhancements. In this role, you would support the Financial Shared Services (FSS) organization by preparing monthly/quarterly development cost reports, Resource labour planning, conducting variance & risk analyses, and assisting with budget and forecast planning. You would also collaborate with stakeholders to enhance financial processes and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS Reports To : Director, Finance COE Job Qualifications Education : • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or data analytics. • Preferred: Master’s Degree/MBA in finance, accounting, economics, or data analytics. Experience : • Minimum: 4 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or consulting role. • Preferred: 4 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or consulting role. Technical Skills : • Experience supporting Technology and Development organizations. • Ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver quality results. • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with HRIS (e.g., SAP, Workday). • Excellent analytical skills and fluent in English. • Proficient in MS Office and visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau. • Familiarity with Hyperion/PBCS, Tagetik, Care20, Workday. • Knowledge of handling large datasets. • Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g., regression), SAS/R, Python. • Proficiency in visualization tools and Hyperion/PBCS. Soft Skills : • Self-motivated, self-managing and able to work independently. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams. Essential Duties • Align the management information system (PBCS) with Workday. • Reconcile actual reporting and payroll data. • Prepare clear data reports and presentations for analytics results. • Collaborate with the PMO team for time writing tool reconciliation. • Implement resource planning tools for resource availability and utilization. • Support onboarding of new joiners and guide them on finance processes. • Manage financial controls for resource processes. • Provide decision support including data preparation, financial rule building, and report generation. • Develop forecast models based on past trends, vendor invoices, and volumes. • Identify and articulate business unit opportunities to optimize performance. • Represent Wolters Kluwer by maintaining comprehensive knowledge and professional relationships. • Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate intercompany cost recharges. • Create and manage cost centers and establish allocation methodologies. • KPI measurement, reporting, and creating dashboards using visualization tools. • Conduct data analysis to understand customer behavior impacts on capacity and volume. • Drive finance business partnerships and collaborate confidently with senior management. Other Duties • Act as a financial business partner, identifying business issues and opportunities proactively. • Collaborate cross-functionally with virtual teams and communicate effectively with leadership. • Provide effective reporting for executive presentations. • Support Business Unit Finance Teams in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) tasks. • Manage and report on the annual budget, conduct monthly and quarterly analyses, and contribute to the 3-year Vision and Strategy Process. • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required. Travel Requirements Minimal travel might be required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Working from the Kalyani Nagar, Pune office on a hybrid schedule (Mondays and Tuesdays).
