The Global Tax Strategic Enablement team at American Express is seeking a motivated Financial Systems Analyst I to transform tax processes through optimization, automation, and next-generation tools. This role involves collaborating with business partners to identify automation opportunities, evaluating and optimizing manual processes, and designing and building integration components. Must Have • Collaborate with Global Tax business partners to identify automation opportunities. • Evaluate and optimize manual processes, recommending automation solutions. • Perform process mapping, gather requirements, and curate POD – POA. • Facilitate automation using self-service tools or by partnering with AET. • Design and build integration components and interfaces. • Create and monitor end-to-end development roadmaps. • Resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and coordinate testing and deployment. • Collaborate with Finance leaders for transparency and updates on automation initiatives. • Educate stakeholders on automation capabilities and new tech trends. • Manage tax system installation, maintenance, security, and software updates. • Lead and manage colleagues and/or consultants. • Ensure proper documentation and timely updates of KPI Dashboards. Good To Have • 5+ years of Product Experience. • Direct experience with Python, Advanced SQL, Java. • Direct experience with Machine Learning, NLG, NLP & AI. • Familiarity with BPMN and CMMN.
